CG125 luggage options

Hi all,

Did my CBT a week ago, collected a '99 CG125 from a very nice ebayer on saturday and did my first central London commute this morning (ohmygodohmygodhowdidIendupinHolbornagain? ), and all is going well!

Anyway, on to the question! Does anyone know of top-box options that'll fit a '99 CG125, that's a reasonable price? Or does anyone have any experience with various panniers or other options for this bike?

There is a Honda rack available for the CG (well, certainly for the old Brazil models as I have one in the garage). Got mine from a breakers. That would extend your luggage options, certainly easier to mount top box and such.

I have a Givi plate and E30 top box on my YBR which is similar to the CG. The dealer didn't recommend anything bigger than 30 litres on a bike this size. Would like to know if I could add side panniers too actually.

Many thanks for the help- the oxford panniers/saddlebags from the CG195 website linked above look like the way forwards. Roll on pay day, I suppose!

Have you considered a tank bag? I got one for £17 from lidl. I've been using it a year now, and it's still in very good condition. I can fit a laptop, weekend amount of clothes and even my lid in it when expanded. It's also a lot better than a top box, in terms of stability, and for security, you just unzip it from the tank pad when you get off. Takes 10 seconds.
