Honda cb-1?

Found a rather lovely 1990 cb-1 on ebay that looks to be in good order for 600 squids ( https://davesbookshop.co.uk/auctions/CIMG4457.jpg )
2 questions though-
Was supposed to have my practical test this week but the company cocked up (was temporarily being run by the guys elderly mum) so would have to garage the thing til i've passed and not test ride it. Good idea/Bad idea?
Does anyone have any experience with these bikes? And is it an issue insuring grey imports? 3 questions but whatever...

No issues insuring grey imports, my import GSXR400 was insured no bother.

It'll be fine in the garage as long as it isn't sat for a huge length of time, and they are good bikes as far as I know. You just have to watch the reg/recs as with most Honda's of that era.

Did see that CB-1 on ebay... looks a very clean model.

I've had my CB-1 for just under 3 years now, can't really ask for too much more (apart from a slightly larger tank).

Handles nicely, sounds good when revved hard, and reliable. To be honest a perfect first big bike.

It will be fine leaving it for a couple of weeks although I personally would turn the fuel tap off and drain the carb bowls (not necessary though).

I had a cb-1, to be honest i wish i had kept it as a commute bike.
As a first 'big' bike they are ideal - easy to ride, well built and good fun

Yep, cbr400 engine, just different cams to de-tune it.
