NSR125 Carbs

does anyone know what the standard Carbs are on the NSR125R?(2003)

I ask because i am after a better one for my bike and the people who i emailed asking about it have asked what it has atm, for if it is worth it to put better ones on.

Also, where should i get some carbon reeds from? I know one place but they do not know the thickness of the ones they are selling, the pack just says for the nsr, and i dont quite trust it as it might be too thin/thick.

dellorto 28PHBH/FS (JC20) & 28PHBH/FD (JC22)
FS=screws on the left , FD=screws on the right
jetting JC20 : main 145 , idle 52 , power 70 (too high for me)
jetting JC22 : main 132 , idle 38 , power 55 (too low for me)

i recommand 138(even 140) , 38 , 65

what else do i need to derestrict my uk spec bike as i hav 14/36 sprockets, arrow complete system and taken out the inlet resrictor yet it only does 84mph, what am i missing? any help would be appreciated.

84 mph for a 125 doesn't sound too bad to me Having said that, the true speed is probably more like 78mph.

84 is not the best , you could easily reach 105 mph

- jetting 138 (or 140) , 42 , 65

irridium are better because : better insulation , best repartition of the spark (consequently a better burning of the mixture) , points undestructable (if you dont scrap them) , no need of points space adjustment . now look your fuel consumption and later fit an irridium plug then fill your tank , you'll see the difference (1/2 L to 3/4 L less)

never fit a K&N , your mixture will be unstable and you will be at risk of seizure especially on wet weather

my computer cant recognise the program and won't let me open it, what size hole is neccessary because the owner of the bike before has put about 7 5mm holes in the box which i origionally taped over because the bike was in a state and i didn't trust him one bit, but now i took the tape off as an experiment and acceleration improved greatly but top end went from 82 to 84mph?

it isnt (probably) a NSR125F but a NS125F . the NS has a 26PHBH , is your model a 1988 ?

no , but i have babelfish . may be it was a 26phbh at the begining but if you the micro-fiches from 1989 it's 28PHBH all the way . to be sure , since the begining engines were fitted with a RC/valves system controled electronically , so check if the RC/valves guide is fixed on the right side of the engine . the model before (TC01=NS125) has no RC/valves and some have been equiped with the ATAC system (mechanical exhaust valve)
as you have a 26PHBH you may fit a 28PHBH/FS as the JC20

i have the tc01 and mines got a diffrent can gellni race exzauats or something not sure what carb as it was all fitted befor but it will do i have been told if u scream it over 110 but ive olnly taken it up to 90 on way home but sadly i broke it oil pump (premix) failed so its haveing full rebuild :)
