Have any of you men tried it? Did you find any pleasure in doing so?
I know that for some reason women think moving in time to music is clever and doing so seems to make them happy but has any man honestly gone out and thought "Great, I am going to have fun dancing tonight"?

During the era of trance I thoroughly enjoyed getting out of my face on E and dancing to quality music.

I wouldn't walk for the sh!t they play in clubs these days though.

I think that dancing for men should only take place when either (a) you're shitfaced out of your box, and/or (b) you're trying to get laid. And even the latter is dubious.

You just have to get in touch with your "inner child," not give a shit what anyone else thinks and go for it. Awesome.

Of course my wife and kids leave the room and deny all knowledge of me but feck em, turncoats. They soon come back when they want money.

mr hellkat likes to dance.
He thinks he's good at it ...

I'm crap at dancing, never was one of them birds who liked to dance around handbags with all the others. So I let him dance with them other birds who like to dance. They think he's wonderful (til he starts doing the splits and all that gymnastic crap Rolling Eyes )

Then he gets a buzz if I actually do decide to dance with him.
Cos normally I'm just cowering in a corner in embarrassment Laughing

I'm more like Hetz: give me a rave tent and a spliff and I'm happy, in a world of me own, dancing.

There are certain issues with the pastime these days, but I for one enjoyed dancing. At clubs, at gigs, even in the odd ballroom. Was I good? Don't rightly care. All I was concerned about was enjoying myself, and if I was dancing with a partner then if they were content so was I Smile

Nowt wrong with it says I.

I love dancing, getting pilled up then going stomping and glowsticking at hard house raves is one of the only times I'm happy! Otherwise no, if you go to pubs n clubs where pissheads are cheesing it its mostly embarrassing.

Best nights out of my life involved lots of pills and hours of dancing. Used to really look forward to doing it too, knowing you were going to get messy and bounce arounnd the place.

I used to really get into it, find a spacious corner and bust some moves whilst chewing my face off. Did enjoy the old glowstick every once in while too.

Happy days. Very Happy

I would tend to agree. Went to Cream for boxing night last year (after a couple of years off), the music was best described as compilation of ridiculous noises rather than a good rhythm, a hint of melody and a reasonable structure to the music.

That night I had trouble dancing, which was most unusual. Haven't been out like that since.

From the age of 7-12 yrs I attended the Winburn School of Dance. Only did modern and tap. but it did make me really confident in the presence of females, i also got the chance to ogle ladies in all states of dress and undress.
Then when the New Romantic era came along I was just right for the dance floor and all those nice ladies. Also if you kept a girl on the dance floor you didn't have to buy as many drinks, you could cop a feel more often and so get them just right for fun on the way home.
now i just watch from the side lines as I'm now at the age when all men should no longer go near the dance floor unless their daughters need a dance partner and no one will dance with them.

I agree with shaggy's comments, with on exclusion. Dancing is acceptable as a method to get the pills working, and keep them working.

Can also be a legitimate excuse to hurt people in a darkened room.

All I need now is a legitimate excuse to keep leaving dead hookers in dumpsters, and my evening activities are sorted.

Wotcha.

Jeez, I must be getting old.

What did all that mean ? Laughing

For the record - the only dance I ever do is the
"Dance of the black thumbnail" - y'know, the dance you do when ever you hit your thumb with a hammer. Don't ask me why you dance, but trust me, you dance all over the show, waving your hand about like something demented.
