Hi

I found a wheel for sale for the front of my monster. I asked before I sent a cheque;

"Before I forget, can you confirm that the wheel is round etc, not dented warped or cracked"

The response I recieved was

Seller wrote:
"Hi Oli its round not dented or cracked"

So I sent off my cheque and recieved the wheel today.

Took it get a tyre fitted and it's warped. The tyre fitter (at Micheldever - decent blokes) advised not to ride on the road with it let alone race.

I have the persons address who sold it to me. I sent him an email saying

"Just been to get a tyre fitted to the loose wheel and it is warped aswell as chipped. Micheldever tyres have advised me to not ride on the road let alone race with it on.

I cannot cancel the cheque as it has already been debited, but I am not happy and expect a full refund.

The Item you sold to me was mis described as detailed below - when I asked if it was dented warped or cracked you assured me it was not. This has left me in a difficult situation as I had booked Mallory Park for the 25th but now do not have a wheel to put on my bike.

Your swift response would be appreciated.

Regards

Oliver "

Now, I have yet to hear a response - but what should I do next?

TIA

EDIT - I phoned my bank, the money has left my account already.

Geeza's left me an answerphone message- he's going to refund my cheque. I will call him back.

Left a complaint with HSBC as the dirka dirka who was dealing with me hung up.

Now I still need an effin' wheel.

I may have a wheel for you at some stage Garth, early style SS in black. Otherwise why not get your original wheel straightened? There's a guy close to Mallory will do a good job, Hagon do them for around £70 too.

Wheel is too far gone to be straightened, it's split down the middle too.

How ££ were you after for the front wheel?

Just missed the one I was watching on eBay by 12 minutes Evil or Very Mad
