As I've got a reasonable number of various recording devices myself, I was thinking of trying to get a half decent video done of the minimoto/karting.
I reckon I've got at least four helmet camera system that can be used, as well as at least a couple of HD-capable recorders that can be placed at the side of the track.

Bendy has kindly offered to edit the video for us (which is probably the most laborious/time consuming part).

I'm fairly 'open' about how to do it and the footage may not come out that well at all given the relatively low-light conditions. However, I was thinking of maybe doing each of the 'final' races in a similar style to you might see on TV; so swapping between track-side and on-board cameras as appropriate. If it comes out well, could even look at some one doing some commentary (after) for that 'authentic' feel along with captions showing places/riders etc Smile.

Anyway, anyone that's got a helmet camera setup, want to bring it along? Check it's working and you can use it conveniently with your helmet beforehand.
Also, a few more camcorders for trackside recording would be useful.
I'll pass out spare helmet cameras to anyone that wants them.

There's going to be plenty of people standing around, but it might be useful to have some people pre-assigned to carry them before hand. If we could get some people dotted around at each corner at least, that'd be cool; maybe one or two in the 'inside' sections of the track where there's empty tyre-walled off sections.

If you can bring along a helmet camera, camcorder or don't mind helping out holding a camera, leave a message here so we can get an idea of who's got what and how we'll do it. Also if you'd like to use a helmet camera at some point.

If everyone makes up their own cheap t-shirt with their forum name etc with marker pen, it'd make it much easier to identify people in the video too Thumbs Up Smile.

I'm up for a bit of helmet cam footage! And my shirt is being sorted tomorrow Wink

Think Ben (brier88) has a camera that could be used on the side... (good quality too)
