I have a horrible feeling my forks are bent after crash yesterday, either that or the bar is bent not sure yet but the left bar is quite a bit further out than the right one Rolling Eyes

I'm taking it to my mates garage tomorow and we're going to fuck about with a laser and work out what isn't straight and see what we can do. I doubt it'll be the forks (I hope not anyway) but will update you tomorow.

Why does this always happen to me?? Crying or Very sad

Most people would have quit biking by now. Crying or Very sad I should sell up and buy a Nova or something Wink

I just hope it's not going to be expensive to fix. I haven't the patience for a broken bike anymore.

Check that the forks are not twisted in the yokes first.

All the best

From the MCN website:
Quote:
The biggest selling bikes of the year so far are:
1. Yamaha R1 (753), 2. Honda CBR600RR (583) 3. Honda CBR125R (582), 4. Suzuki SV650S (482), 5. Honda SCV100 Lead (458), 6. Yamaha FZ6 Fazer (442), 7. Piaggio NRG (420), 8. Suzuki GSX-R1000 (386), 9. Piaggio Zip 50 (383), 10. Honda XR125L (375)

Someone at MCN has their wires crossed, methinks.

OK, my mechanic mate and his other mate have looked at my bike.

The steering was bent from when I first got it but no one has been able to fix it yet. After loosening off everything we've found it's just all twisted in the yokes. The forks aren't actually bent like I was worried about.

We've straightened that all up and is now fine.

His mate also managed to remove most of the scuffs from my fairing! All I need is a new white flash decal thing and the bike is mint again! Yay!

Unlucky Yams. Yeh its not you, its the BCF curse Very Happy. Its most likely that the forks are twisted in the yokes, Just undo the pinch bolts and everything else and move it into place, like straightening a push bike wheel.

oops just read you have sorted it, I must stop "speed reading" posts.

Come now, bikers are not that soft. When i come off it cost me some £1400 notes to get it back to normal.

Only took me 20 months to save up for a new bike.

How did the front wheel take it? Mine ended up slighty egg shaped.
