Well whats the best free anti virus out now, I remember the days of free AVG but they appear to be charging now.

Another vote for Avast here, I've consistantly had issues with AVG missing stuff.

My mate recommended me downloading a program called Comodo (google it)

Its both an anti-virus and firewall, and completely free.

I've only been using it one day so far, so can't comment much, but so far so good Thumbs Up

The Avast user interface is a nightmare. I use Avira Antivir.

If you use Comodo firewall remember to turn off Defense+ as its a royal PITA1

Another Avast user here. Don't like AVG as it really slows the computer down whenever it updates (which it insists on doing every time I start up - or did, until I uninstalled the bastard! Twisted Evil )
