Hi All
Im looking and upping my bike, from cbr125.

I want more power.

Insurance companies are trying to kill me if i go and buy a bike such as the Ninga 250.

Best quote for fully comp is £800.

Someone mentioned to me that I could get an Aprilia RS125 unrestricted.
THey said it has 33BHP and can easily do a ton.

I wanted to know if this is true, as its only a 125.
Can it really reach 100mph or is this a down big hill with wind behind you speed?

I have been told by my insurance company that all i have to do is pay £30 admin fee to change the details. (I paid £350 fully comp)

I do not want to buy an RS125 if it has similar power to by CBR 125, so any feedback would be great.

Why not buy a Busa and restrict it?

The A2 licence allows you to have any bike as long as its restricted to 33bhp.

You may be pleasantly surprised to find that a bigger cc on the A2 licence is cheaper than a full powered 125 and it'll certainly last a lot longer as remove restrictions after 2 years for more power.

Example here.

I got a A2 licence

got a quote on a CB500 £350 fully comp.

quote on a CBR125 and that was like £750 fully comp

Thank you very much, my case in point.

Its exactly the same argument with people going on and on about the 600cc sports bikes, get a slightly bigger cc and it'll more than likely be cheaper as long as you don't take the piss with it.
