Hi
Not meant to be bad bikes. Quite quick (first sports 600 to manage a genuine 150mph in normal conditions), but quite softly sprung. Build quality can be a bit iffy. Cush drive rubbers are not long lived.
I would still tend to push people towards something like a CB500 or GPZ500 for a few months after their tests to get more experience, but the ZZR is certainly not a bad bike.
All the best

Friend of mine has one and its recently lost the will to live (the gear box) 100k or something like that... BUT up until then he used it every day for the last couple of years, spent a bit on farings (2 seagulls and a pot hole) but he loved it he was getting another until he saw a ninja400 and in a moment of weakness made the purchase
As a first bike you wouldn't be disappointed but you'd be better off with something liiiiiiiike.....
Gpz500
Gs500
Cb500
Bandit 400/600
kawasaki ER 5
Crb600
Loads, more than the obviously but these are all i can think of... ____________________ >RidingSkills<->Tech Tips<->MyBikes< |
