Hello,

Had a Accident, Car didn't look right on a give way sign and drove right into me.

What is this?, Theres petrol leaking from the tube and what is that big ass metal thing that I'm pointing to. Theres three arrows there, can u guys tell me what they are, i think its a Carb but i just want to be sure. thanks

Sorry i didnt write the arrows with 123, lets just say the top one is the top and middle and bottom Razz

Yeah - the 'big ass thing' is the carburettor. The tube going it it, is the fuel line. The clear tube coming from the bottom is the drain tube. The large rubber tube from the carb is the air filter tube.

Top - Fuel line. Replace the tube and circlip.
Middle - Float bowl, check for any cracks. Tighten the screws.
Bottom - Drain tube, When above are sorted, fuel should not come out of here when the carb is in place.

Thanks, So the Fuel goes into the Carb then Travels to the piston and burns it then its goes out in the exhaust ?.

because in a car its induction /compression /power /exhaust but i didn't know that fuel goes into the carb. please explain. thanks Smile


owww right just done some research. just done 1 year or mechanics and didnt pay that much attention Thumbs Down . well i read my book it says. it intakes air and fuel, so ofc the airfilter is there to make sure non dirt enters the carb.

Now you know why I do my own work on the bike ... if they don't even teach you the basics of the fuel system in a year Laughing

thats pretty easy to understand how it works.

the fuel gets into the bowl at the bottom through the rubber tube.

now im just lazy in class, but im good in the work shop i can remove and replace most of the stuff like pistons spark plugs brake pads, ect ect ect Razz oil changing ect just with bike. looks different but its not really.
