its not worth it.

Just get xp, no worries about online licensing.

Vista is difficult to rip and use on other machines because microsoft have realised that they were stupid with xp allowing one disc to be able to install xp on as many machines as they want.

e.g. I may have gotten hold of an xp disc from some big corporation e.g. nhs and be able to use that many times with no one noticing.

vista is just xp but shiny.

Bloatware though, may as well either stick to XP or get Vista.
