MPG and Tank Range Of NSR and VFR

owners of the VFR and the lovely NSR (should that be the other way around)

could you please state you tank ranges, and how many miles per gallon you get from your bikes

as accurate as you can be, and you can put it into KM as well, if you dont have miles on your clock

on my NSR
about 100miles until i have to switch to reserve, about 80 if i thrash it everywhere(de-restricted).
I tend to fill up immediatly after i have switched to reserve.

On the RK I'm getting about 65-70 miles before I switch to reserve, and thats riding normally, if I'm really thrashing it - like I was on the way to Silverstone I tend to get better mieage....maybe thats cos I got towed....Just kidding! Same as Phil I tend to fill up as soon as I switch to reserve. The most I've ever got in the tank - almost emptying it was 6.80!

I'm sure I did better than that with my FK... but it is restricted to around 85... and I did thrash it everywhere.

hey i got a n old r k
from full to reserve i get between 60 - 80.
then i fill up as its too heavy to push.

From my FM I get 170(ish)KM to reserve - i.e about 100 miles then about another 30km to empty. (er....I think cuz Im not stupid enough to actually run out Embarassed

And the bike spends the majority of its life over 7000RPM.

Off topic my ZXR will do 130 miles then it needs to go on reserve, cost £8 to fill up

You [i]should[/] be using semi-synth for the first few hundred miles, so that all of the crap can be flushed from the engine...fully-synth is too smooth...
