Anyone else watching this on Dave at the minute? Can tell how fucking riveting my Friday night is can't you? I'm just delaying going out a bit longer untill I can be bothered to get my arse off the sofa but in the mean time, this program has me creased up everytime.

This shall be a place to post any of your favourite quotes from the show to perhaps give Shaun some inspiration Laughing

One of the guys just on was talking about his phone contract how his service provider are always calling him to see if he wants to upgrade
"No, I'm not interested in watching TV on my phone, the same way I'm not interested in taking a piss in my tuble dryer"

"You may have seen that in fact now our kids are going to get taught Atheism in the classroom. You would of that would of been a fairly short lesson wouldn't you? "Hello, come in. There is no God. Same time next week""

"Somebody could have regular flu and then catch bird flu and then theoretically, scientifcally the two could mutate inside that person and create a super strain of bird flu which is air born like regular flu and there could be an epidemic. It's possible. Why don't these scientists smoke a joint and lighten up?! It's also possible someone could have bird flu, eat a chicken wing and be given the power of flight"

Mock the week is funny, but I've always wondered, do they get the questions before the show, or is it all improvised as it seems ? Especially the round where they are given a topic at the end of the show.

The reason I say this is, I find Frankie Boyle very funny on this show, so me and a friend went to see him live in Leicester Square, and a lot of his material was either lifted straight from Mock the week, or asking an audience member what they do/where they're from and taking the piss out of them for a bit. He seemed a bit short on material, but on Mock the week he seems to have loads on tap.

Hmmm...interesting question yellow ninja, I reckon they improvise but if Boyle seemed a bit short on material who knows.

You know what gets me, the little blurred rectangles in front of the comedians. WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT ALL ABOUT?!

I think it could be that he has a certain amount of material, some of which is then adapted to fit MTW.

Also, my thinking that the game isn't loaded, is that you take any other profession, say playing darts, and top dart players can throw darts to within 3 or 4 mm of their target pretty consistently. Same goes for top comedians, but in a more cerebral way...if you see what i mean.

Mock The week, absolutely tops tv. Try and get hold of the Too Hot For TV dvd, it's a trouser wetter.

The Frankie Boyle thing, I reckon its fifty fifty. The blond one from Bristol (I forget his name) has used some of his material on MTW too.

Frankie Boyle once suggested that instead of giving errant kids an ASBO, giving them a GAYBO would have a more negative connotation and might not be such an impressive badge of honour for them.

I reckon they get the questions in advance but perhaps only half an hour or so, they used to do the same on Who's Line is it Anyway.

I watched Bill Bailey - Part Troll last night. Proper laugh out loud guffaw material.

Thumbs Up
