... I passed! Very Happy

Weather was appaling, couldnt feel the clutch or front brake on the way home - the 3 hour journey Laughing Firstly, one of the clan got lost (radio batt. went dead) then just traffic and fuel stop for our hands to de-frost Laughing My test finished at 3:30, didnt get home till 7pm, then had to ride the TS home in the ice - that was fun Laughing

Got 5 minors in the end - 4 for speed (was doing 45/50 on a NSL dual-carraigeway and generally going a bit too slow) but i thought it to be appropriate to the conditions tbh. 1 for signal - dont know what that was about, maybe left the indi on a bit too long, he never mentioned it lol.

Still, couldnt take the smile off my face all the way home
Now the real learning begins, right Very Happy

Congrats it is always best to learn in the wintertime thus you 'prove' that you can ride in any weather. Thumbs Up

doesn't matter id have thought. I've never heard of anyone crashing from going to slow Laughing, and it's your perception of what is safe when it comes to bad conditions.

I'm expecting ice on my test, 27/11 at 08:20. Plenty of traffic, bo11ocks am i filtering. Should be fun doing my controlled stop Wink

Hope to join you soon with the smile, cos once I pass i hope to get a gsx650f, but then again, thats changing almost everyday LOL

Well done

I didnt know this until he asked, but it was only ONE show and ONE tell question, and one pillion question right at the end.

I had, 'Show' me how you would check the brake lights on this machine. And 'Tell' me how you what you would do to check the chain on this machine, or something along those lines. Laughing My answers sounded like i was reading them from a sheet as id revised them all like mad while sitting in McDonalds at the half-way point. Laughing Seriously nothing to worry about though. And ive heard the exmainer 'usually' asks you the pillion question before the brief, but my examiner asked me "How would you carry a pillion passenger" while we were walking across the car-park back the test centre room, and it seemed he wasnt even listening Laughing and then he just said "Ok, thanks Ant." Half way through a sentence. Laughing But by this point he would have already made a decision on wether you have passed or failed so... Smile

Good luck mate Thumbs Up

Usually the pillion question is 'What adjustments would you make to the bike if you were to carry a pillion?'

The adjustments would be:

Tyre pressures
Suspension
Headlight
Mirrors

Yeah, perhaps the 'most' common would be "How would you carry a pillion?" which requires elements from all other possible questions.

Arrow What adjustments would you make to the machine?
Arrow What effects would carrying a pillion passenger have whilst riding this machine?
Arrow What advice would you give to a pillion rider?
