Hello all,

I have been working in Leeds for last 3 weeks, and will be here for another week. Can't wait to go back home and ride my bikes.

To satisfy my bike need, I am looking for a place to go watch MotoGP race this Sunday. I could sit at the hotel, but I'd rather go to a sports bar or something similar. Can anyone recommend anything near the City Center.

Thanks
Oskar from Texas.

Hi, I live in Bradford but am from Leeds. I doubt you'll get to see the Gp anywhere really. Try the SPRINGBOK or the WALKABOUT as these are sport mad and may find the channel for you.

Great weather were having here isn't it!

Yeh, all of the UK pubs only seem bothered about football, although you could go to a local bike shop, i'm sure they will be playing the MotoGP practice and race day.

After night out at a club I woke up in just enough time to go to the Subway downstairs get a sandwich and watch the race back in my room. It was great race. Hey even this guy on a Yamaha won Smile (for a change).

The weather here is little too cold. Here is a pic from the Houston race watching get together back in the US. I will be back there next week and get to ride my bikes again. Then it's back here in second half of May.

Is there any places to hire bikes in UK? I was driving around the countryside last saturday, and there is some great roads north of Leeds.

Hi

You should be able to hire a bike, but I don't know anywhere around Leeds. Pick up a copy of MCN as there are a few people in there advertising bikes for hire.

All the best

If you give google.co.uk a battering you should be able to find some places that do performance bike hire.

Might be a problem hiring a bike if you don't have a UK licence.

I can't see that being a problem u.k riders can go abroad and hire a bike/car without a problem.

Some companys can be rather picky. Cars aint a problem but some bike companys can be picky.

Raceway rentals will hire bikes with a forigen licence with a passport but they aint near leeds.

I talked to some people here at work, and they said that there is a place that hires bikes to foreigners, but none seem to recall where that place is. I got a name of the guy back in the US and I will ask him.
