One day insurance

How do i go about getting 'one day' insurance. Its just so i can get about on my 50cc ped tomorrow. Any legit companies etc? Id love some input as this is quite urgent. Thankyou. (Also posted in bike chat.)

If your still on a provisional then i guess it will be very expensive, probably not much less than it would be for a week or two.

Just go buy mcn (it came out yesterday so no excuses) and look in the back at the adverts and just ring around all the insurance companies. Don't just take the first one that offers it to you, fight them off against each other like you would do when purchasing a full years insurance.

Take out insurance with eBike, they'll send you a cover note as a PDF for 7 days. Then cancel the insurance in a few days. I did that so that I could test ride my current bike before buying it.

Just got a quote with ebike online funnily enough,£35. Cant moan. Are there any problems canceling it after the month is up? Charges etc,and if so how would i go about getting round them. Thankyou.

By law you can cancel within 14 days for a full refund, so do that and it's free.

So if i take out an insurance policy with e bike insurance,and cancel it after say,2 or 3 days,it will not cost me a penny? What reason would i use for canceling the policy? And can i get charged anything for canceling etc,any sneaky costs. Thanks.

Yes. But sometimes they catch you out,charge you sneaky fees etc. Where will i stand? What reason can i use to canel the policy. Bear in mind im doing the policy online.

If you can't afford insurance then don't ride...simple as.

They might try and charge you an admin fee but all you gotta do is opt to pay monthly and just cancel the DD

If you read the eBike policy document (that you downloaded and checked before you started asking all these questions - you did read it, didn't you?) on page 12 it has the cancellation details. If the cover has commenced, they'll charge you pro-rata plus an admin fee.
