hyosung gt125r could i fit a gt250 engine

hi all i shud be getting my gt125r back from the insurance companie soon i was wondering if i could easyaly fit a gt250 engine in it ??

what would i need to do ? info please

yes i should think so, being a budget bike i would take a guess that they probably share a frame so it would just be a bolt on job.

I could be wrong about the following but its worth checking if it is true.

I thought the 125cc engine is the 250cc engine.
I thought they simply put a larger sleeve in the cylinders to make it smaller inside and fitted smaller pistons to make it 125cc.

Of course I expect there may be more to it than that like having to adjust the carbs a bit.

But basically that may be it. Ask a mechanic or the manufacturer to confirm or deny or tell you more about it.

I was looking at doing this when i had my hyosung 125.

I parked up alongside a 250 version in the town center,and from what i could see everything looked identical...

Have a trip over to koriders.I'm sure someone their will know more...
