PS3 online game reccomendations

I've never bothered with online gaming before but decided to give metal gear a shot and I love it, amazing amount of fun lobbing smoke grenades about, popping caps in peoples bums and sniping and what not.

So what other games are worth buying to play online? I was thinking COD4 but then noticed there's a new one out soon.

Oh and is it worth buying a keyboard and headset thing at all?

I obviously haven't got a PS3, so my opinions may not suit the PS3, but I recommend getting a headset. Seriously, getting loud Americans wound up on Halo 3, made the £130 I paid for my Xbox completely worthwhile. You can get a keyboard for the Xbox 360 controller, but it seems largely redundant once you have a headset.

I can't believe you had never played online before. I wish i'd never discovered it. Took over my life and it all started on BCF with the Counterstrike Crew. Laughing

Only play COD4 online at the minute and will probably be swapping over to the next one in 2 weeks
Have you got a normal bluetooth headset for your mobile??????
You can connect that and use it, thats what i do and it works just fine Thumbs Up

Tempted to get the new one, just bought Far Cry 2, not sure how good that's going to be online.

Brother has got COD (4.)5 on sex box beta edition.

Think COD 4 + slight realism increase + japnaz vs us + better graphics + larger maps.

Personally not sure on the difference though.

I've just bought Far Cry 2, a little disappointed though... Sad

Personally think first person shooters suck on consoles; so much better on the PC.

Although I haven't actually played it that much, Puzzle Fighter is a great puzzle game (the reason I bought a PS3 Confused

)... while it's good online, it's possibly more of a sit round with mates kinda game... used to have epic 10-20 hour sessions of it in student/non-student days.

Hi all,
One of the first PS3 releases MotorStorm is an amazing game to play online. The game is dirt cheap now too, can get it for £9.99 from any decent game retailer.

I regret selling mine, but if I hadn't.. i'd have never afforded my first date with my misses lol so it was worth it!

I can't remember if Army of Two is an online multiplayer, but I know in 2 player it's an amazing game too.. if it does have online capability I can only imagine it's the dogs danglies.

I wish it was that cheap, the night ended up costing me £270.

£120 on drinks for me, her, her friend, my friend
£80 on meal for me, her, her friend, my friend
£60 on hotel room
£10 on Taxi's

I sold the PS3 for £350 so didn't have much left Sad

Back on topic i've not yet played MS2, I am tempted to go out and buy another PS3 though so IF I do, that'll be 1 of the first games i'll buy.

Lol I'd known her a while through my mate (he was seeing her mate).
The misses was living in Milton Keynes n as i'm a Brummie it was a long ass way for a several hour date.

So all 4 of us stayed in a Welcome Lodge place, been together ever since. Without getting mushy!!! We're getting married next year Smile
