Starter motor Problem

My starter motor hasn't been working for quite some time, but i've never had a problem just bump starting it. However, i'm about to sell the bike so would like to fix it.

The motor just won't turn over, i have a spare motor and i fitted that and it did nothing. All that is happening is the relay unit is clicking, so i replaced that and still it doesn't work! Any other ideas?

Bike is a rieju RS2, same as an RS50.

my dt is exactly the same.. been over a year since my leccy start went.. Its probably the starter clutch thats gone else you were sold a dodgy starter motor with worn bushes... unlikely to be the starter solenoid since its clicking...

possibly a broken wire between the relay and the starter.
or a broken earth wire if it has one.

get a test meter on the wire down by the starter and see if it has power when you hit the button.

You need a multimeter and need to test the various points e.g. battery, then near the solenoid/relay, then the contacts on the motor itself, to establish where the electricity is failing to get to.

Okay i'll go round with a multimeter tomorrow and see what readings i get.
