Okay basically I bought this Yamaha Neos 100cc.(was hoping to get a better bike but lost job so ended up with this)

Basically after reading reviews they say that it can comfortably go 50-60mph and reach a top speed of 70-5mph and my mate had one a year back and verified this however i fail to get to over 45 on it full throttle and downhill?

I'm not sure of any other information you may want, but any ideas on why its wont go over 45?

Is it a 2-stroke?

Check the air filter and replace the spark plug first, I'd say.

I'd check the rollers and the drive belt next tbh! They don't last more than about 2.5-3k without wearing significantly and affecting performance IMO. After that i would check and probably remove the exhaust for de-carbonising. I doub't whatever it might say on the speedo that a std Neos 100cc will exceed a genuine 60mph on the flat at the most. They are only about 9.5bhp max.
