should be a very easy mission, the basics of the engine and lay out are near enough identical,
brakes ect are nearly the same as well,
the suspension is the only real difference
i reckon you could do it in a few hours..... if nothing went wrong ____________________ the humans are dead

Your DNA 50 is a 2 stroke.
A DNA 125 is a 4 stroke (hence the 2 shocks)
A 125 runner lump has been fitted in a DNA frame before, not to sure what had to be done tbh. You'll most probably need to change the wiring looms, not sure what engine mounts you can use....it can be done though ____________________ Rides: Honda XR 125 ('03) Honda CBR 600F ('91), Ducati 916 Biposto ('95) |

Posted: 18:30 - 02 Mar 2009 Post subject: Gilera Runner engine swap? |
 |
|
Hi there!
I have a gilera runner 50cc and was wondering if a 125 2t runner lump will fit into the 50cc frame? If so what other parts would I have to get for this to work?
Thanks in advance for any light that can be shed on the matter
Dave. |

@ ddaavvee27
Im not going to be much help here other than to say it would probably be cheaper just to sell the 50cc and buy a 125cc, If you're not legal to ride a 125cc (i.e. your still 16) then i wouldnt expect much help on here with making yourself illegal.
Oh and if you've got some other reason for wanting to do a swap then sorry for making assumptions
