Needing new boots, anyone know if these are any good?
https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NITRO-NB101-RACE-BOOTS-BLACK-LEATHER-10-DONINGTON-MOTO_W0QQitemZ180299702915QQihZ008QQcategoryZ122213QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem
Just bought a Tech7 bag from this shop as advised by someone on here so I would think that the shop is good....I just don't know about the boots

These, as far as I can tell (the model name's the same) are the same. By all means read both listings and see if they are any different. I imagine they're last years design/colour etc.

Cheers guys. I'll go with last years model, look nicer (I think) and they're cheaper, don't care if they not the latest ones, just as long as they protect me (I'd get Stars again but I just can't afford it now)

I had a pair for a year, they seemed fine for the money.

Didn't ride too much and they were ready for replacement after the year.

Overall was pleased with them Thumbs Up

I bought a set of Nitro "NB-10" boots off Ebay a couple of years ago, they get full use through all weathers as I never ride the bike without them, I'm going to change up soon as I want something a little newer cosmetically.

For the job they do, they're great and I can't really fault them except the velcro flaps stick out a bit much and make a velcro-y noise when you first walk with them but for the price I paid, something like £20 inc P&P I don't and can't complain.

You're welcome mate, glad to help!

For future reference, when you find the product you're after - do a search for it again (In this case search for "Nitro NB101", or "Nitro" instead of just "motorcycle boots" or whatever), and sort by "Price + P&P: Lowest First". If you can't be arsed bidding and just want something brand new, fast and with less hassle then select the buy it now tab as well.

I'm all about getting things cheaper!!

Very Happy

As it turns out, I wasn't actually out right looking for them.

I bought the Tech7 rucksack from their shop (sent the link to me mum cos I don't do ebay) and her boyfriend said that the shop had a decent pair of boots on there for cheap.

Me mum said she'd buy them for me as well and I do need new boots really so I thouhgt, fuck it, why look a gift horse in the mouth Thumbs Up

I have a pair of these boots as i needed something cheap at the time.

Lovely cheap boot but i wouldnt reccomend using them to walka round in as i do at college as the souls wear quickly.

Of course theyre not designed for that are they.

Only other problem i've found is a lack of grip when at lights or whatever, i've found they have me skating all over the place if it's damp and i put much weight on one leg. However having only owned two pairs of bike boots im not sure if this is a common problem?

Yep those are the ones. The only thing i don't like is that the velcro is a bit annoying. They are also my first pair of boots so its a bit weird riding in them and walking, they remind me of my ski boots Confused

What makes the velcro annoying?

Gotten used to wearing big boots as I used to skate everywhere when I was a spotty teen Laughing
