How about we pop Tony Blair on the pyre, seeing as he's a keen pope ring kisser now?

See, nobody understood what you were banging on about.
They're all dumbed down these days.
And I was too busy to banter randomly.

Mr. Green
Besides, Blair is old news, let alone Guy Fawkes.
Obama is the new, ermmmmm, ... Laughing black.
(apparently)
But I have no idea if he is Catholic.
Rolling Eyes
Not enough ankle-biters on the podium t'other day, so I'm assuming not.

Was this particularly a anti-papist thread, or just a celebration of an evening of assorted colourful chemical reactions and bonfires in general.

I bet you put on your best hat and made your kids take you out in a wheelbarrow, asking for a penny for the guy.

Yes, I was kind of expecting a "I'd like to see X go up in flames too" vibe to the thread, but maybe it wasn't dumbed down enough Smile

I have no kids, nor a wheelbarrow. I do have a hat though.

I thought it was decided on radio 4 that he was the new brown (I'm not sure if that was a political reference, I am unable to sense capitalisations via radio waves which is a pity really).

Besides, half of America think he is Muslim, so he can't really be Catholic as well.

*Poor memory of history lessons, potentially stupid question to follow*
Wasn't the gunpowder plot blamed on Jesuits rather than generic Catholics?
