On a more serious note, maybe try negeotiating with them? Do you you have a union rep that might be able to help?

Further loss of earnings claim possible? If they have admitted liability then I cannot see how they can dodge paying you.

Assuming they are in a decent financial position it is shocking of them tbh - the amount will be negligible in the grand scheme of things.

Crying or Very sad and your left visally imparied because of them. Time to crush some balls Twisted Evil

As the insurance company have already admitted FULL liability I can only presume that my employers are relying on the insurance paying me. To me it looks like they are still under the illusion that its not their fault.
The accident report that my employers carried out says that the accident was my fault, although no mention was made of safety equipment and lack of any training.
The HSE report puts the blame firmly on my employers, and as liability has been admitted this is the report the insurers are going off.
It really irks me that although my employers will likely face higher premiums, they dont have to pay me for an accident that was their fault.

The Insurers and HSE go over what your employers say so you would be able to claim loss of earnings on your claim.

Can of petrol + box of matches, then sort it out in the courts.

Seriously though, I feel for you mate I really do I can't believe how crap they're being about this. Can you seek legal advice claiming constructive dismissal (obviously you'll have to hand you notice in because of your untenable position). Sorry if that's poor advice I'd just like to see you get a bit of a break. Thumbs Up

Best advice, be totally honest about your money worries and your eye and the way THEY are making you feel!!! These sorts of reports are usually worth their weight in gold. Thumbs Up

your employer is just doing it by the book as should you. use your full entitlement of sickness benefits from your employer as your contract says, any losses over that where the employer falls short will be part of the claim against them. This goes for future claims. You also will come under disability laws once the claim is settled and extra time will be legally yours.
