The X-factor...jesus wept. Its only one step away from the mindless Big Brother drivel thatr CH4 peddle to the masses.


Its not about talent - most of the people who get through to the last stages of these competitions can sing. Its about who can make Simon bloody Cowell a quick buck. Its about 'muppetability' - aka who will do what SC bloody tells them to do. If the 'winners' get more than one single out of it then they have done well.

Why have them singing swing tracks? To prove they can sing different genres? Bollocks. The winner won't release anything but a single to do with undying love (or similar shite) sung in a typical generic pop fashion. It's all bollocks.

Maybe this comment was helped along by the large quantity of vodka I have consumed...but its still what I think, and it will take a minor miracle to make me change that!!

It is because of all this type of crap on tv that I haven't actually watched any tv for 2 years now. I haven't even got an aerial on the roof. It fell down and I have never bothered having it replaced.
