Cagive mitto EVO1 tyre options?

hi all im new,

i just bought a mitto evo for my 1st bike...but it needs new tyres.

at the moment it has michilins on it....but what is the best all round tyre for grip in the wet and dry?

im on a tight budget and the only tyres i found on ebay sold n pairs are conti-force at £120

and bridgestone at £180?

havent herd much about conti-force?

and herd that bridgestones are like a light switch in the way they loose heat!


any good websites that do mito tyres that are of a good price?


what are peoples thoughts on the "conti-force" tyre?

I've been running Conti-Force on my Blackbird for about a year and on MrsHippys V-Raptor for much longer. I am honestly impressed with them, they warm up quickly and provide good feedback. I've used better in the wet, but how hard are you planning on pushing it in the rain?

Got a set of them on my CBR, I don't like them.

I don't have very much confidence to push them, although have are blueing up quite nicely now so I guess I must be riding them relatively hard.

well im not planning to push it in the rain as im a learner rider...but i would like it so i have good traction in the rain so if i need to push i can...i.e i wont to do a few track days in a few months...



what would you rating be for them out of 1-10?

They'll be fitted to a 125. Not many tyres warm up well on a 125.

I'll look out for some old Dunlop GPR80's.

You want any tyre where the 150 size is at the upper end of the range. -> therefore tyre designed for low capacity bikes.

Bridgestone BT090s are what I use on my Mito. They're designed for small capacity bikes. They handle great in the dry and are good in the wet. Downside is that you will not get more than a few thousand miles from the rear.

BT92s wear better. Not as grippy as the 090s but are still a good choice.

Look around and you should be able to find both on a pair deal for £160.

the best deal i can get is 168 inc post for some dunlop 80s

I have Dunlop Roadsmarts on my Hyosung which has same tyres size as the Mito and they have excellent wet and dry grip Smile

Not used them. Yeah they are tubeless though, the vast majority of modern road bikes have tubeless tyres.

UPDATE:


i have just orderd a pair of 110/70ZR17 (54) & 150/60ZR17 (66W) Michelin Pilot Power Front & Rear for my bike.


i was just wondering what sort of milage will i get out of these tyres?
