Here is a photo of our beer can tower in our flat. I know it is all dirty larger (well except the Strongbow), but it is cheaper than buying some real ale.

https://www.bikechatforums.com/files/dsc00165_116.jpg

Any one beat it?

We counted 108 last night, although that could be slightly wrong.

Yeah that is nice Jake, just shown a flat mate yours and he was impressed... think we shall have to have a play with ours once we get some more cans.

We where originally wanted to make a wall of beer cans to fill the window... but we soon found out that with the window open it would blow the cans over... in the pyramid shape the air can get round it. And yes the window does need to be open or the kitchen would start to smell and get too hot.

I managed to get hold of a blurry picture of mine, it looks like they are all strongbow but it was a mix of a lot of stuff, we just used strongbow for the outside for looks.

Jake, we have one exactly like that. Bit Kawasaki mad, have to make sure we're not all wearing our Monster T-shirts on the same day. We were in Wilkinsons the other day and someone said to us "You sponsered by Monster then?".

"No-err-yep. Yes we are"

Before I understood two of the meanings of the word 'taste' I and a few chumps had a Stellawall. It had over 500 cans. I don't have a pic though...(this was pretty much before the internets existed too...)

At Christmas, we nicked a tree from a forest. It was a 15 footer, crammed into a 9ft high room. Complete with squirrels and woodpeckers. And we decorated that with beercans with little windows cut out and tealight candles inside.

Word of warning though, don't try this at home - you'll be so busy finishing another layer on the Stellawall you'll fall asleep and the tree will catch fire. Thumbs Up

Afraid not, I am at Leeds university... however the halls I am staying in are run by UNIT which do a lot of university accomondation and by the sounds of things a lot of their stuff is used through out their flats. Probably why you had the same curtains.

I keep bottle tops as they take less room and I don't like cans.

If you are gonna build a 3d one take my advice and get one of those big bottles of pva glue or similar, because the towers fall down very very easily, and when you start getting big you don't want them falling over.

Oh and whenever you see a special offer on cans buy it drink them all then go back the next day for more. I think I spent a week constantly pissed in an effort to build that Laughing.

Just a little update:

After they all fell down (twice) we decided just to collect them all on the floor...

Then we can up with the idea of building a bar out of beer cans. So we bought some glue and this is how far we got:

We need to drink a few more cans to get it up to the the right height, and then *find* something to make a table top from.

Nice effort Thumbs Up, just wait till your local supermarket is doing a 3 crates for 20 offer and just see how many cans you can drink in a week, you'll get pretty far in no time.

There is 170 cans there at the moment, 50 a layer plus 20 for extra length at the bottom. We have some bigger cans as well but we are saving them for a proper bar round the edge of the top and bottom.

So we need to drink another 150 cans to get it to about the right height.

Aye we have told the other flat mate to sort that one out, we have been saying all along to use a road sign, but I think it could be too heavy?
