Resignation Letter

Hi

I need to quit my job, I've been offered a new one and they want me as soon as possible. Smile

It's a small-ish family business, and I don't want to screw the owners over. Anyone any good at resignation letters? I've been here for near two years if that makes any difference, but now I feel I'm not really going anywhere.

If not it's the good old fall back of the pirate resignation letter. Laughing

FWIW i-resign.com has some basic templates if you click here.

Keep it short and simple, I'd recommend template #1, maybe #2 but not as many words, from those in the link above.

Keep it short and sweet.
You may even find with a small faimly co that simply talking to them is enough, rather than a letter.

Recently, I just did "I'm resign due to being offered a job at X, my final date will be".

Went and talked to my boss before handing letter over; letter is just a formality and doesn't really 'matter' if you're going to talk to them.

When I resigned form Vodafone I didn't even need to write a letter. Just log on to the Intranet and click the 'I resign' button Laughing

The company can probably pretty much specify it as they want, but either option is possible.
I'm getting about nine days of holiday paid for, which should be a decent chunk to make up for the bonus we didn't get Rolling Eyes
