https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=170276180300

So is this then actually suitable for an RVF without modification?
Thankyou in advance.

At that price no.

Just find a standard one from an NSR they are 1/4 turn as standard. Wink

It claims to be

Quote:

Model/ Series: CBR, RVF, RVT, V-Twin

You may find you have a smaller 'action' than Fireblades/SP1s etc, so it actually just replaces yours though.

just read the listing and although it say's standard is 1/4 I'm sure the NSR's tube improves other Honda's action.

Thanks guys, though it still sounds like we're in the blue here Laughing
I do still have my NSR though I'm not sure there's allot of difference in the action, I'll be sure to give it a look later.

Overall the impression I'm getting from you is 'Not this time sonny' Confused Guess I've just saved myself £30+

Thanks

Why do you want a QAT for anyway? You spend very little time at full throttle on the road....

Haha Shifty Typically most people don't spend allot of time with the throttle cranked open.
I actually tend to quite allot, hence my desire to get more out of the RVF, becuase I'm bored of the 112 top end allready.

I've got one on my NC30, not a major performance enhancement, but allows liberal use of full throttle (which is a requirement on anything outputting under 70bhp).

I wouldn't pay £30 for one, I think I paid about a fiver off a 400gb member. Still came in essential HRC packaging; which the acronym alone adds 5bhp to any Honda they grace.

You would be surprised, and even if you are it will not make that much difference at lower revs.

What you may find is that a throttle tube from another Honda would give you a quicker action. Basically just needs to be a larger diameter where the cable attaches and wraps round. Heard that using an R1 throttle tube is the quick and cheap method to get a quicker action throttle on some models of R6.

All the best

Keith

This might be a more worthwhile "modifcation" to get another 20mph then:

Yeh thanks Craig, that is the souloution that I'm going for at the moment, I was bidding for the HRC CDI recently but when it got to £200- that I still consider a good price, I decided that I had more urgent matters to spend the money on. Thumbs Up

NO the thought of it scares the crap out of me!
Infact the thought of riding motorbikes used to scare me,
The thought of undergoing mechanical tasks used to scare me.
I think thinking in general scares me Shocked .

I immagine though if I gave base jumping or something that extreme a go I'd be hooked, I'm very comfortable at doing insane things when it comes to it Mr. Green

My bike is only an extension of my persona, as I tend to be quite disorganised at some level, usually late and very tempremental I think Elisha proves this understanding very well. Laughing
