Nail some chicken wire to it, or get some roofing felt they use on sheds, shouldn't spin up then.

I wouldn't have thought it would. The belly plan is fairly low.

But there are ways around it. Grippy plank, or even some bricks in the gaps of the steps. Stuff like that.

That's the ground clearance on mine, obviously without anyone sat on it.

Planks of wood nailed together covered in shed roofing felt as a ramp? Of course any wheel spin would f*uck the felt and the angle would have to be right for ground clearance.

Yeah you'd probably need a long-ish, shallow ramp. A cut down scaffolding board would be nice if there's one knocking around somewhere near Smile

The step to my back yard is 12" high and thats a minor PITA using a 3 plank wide ramp and a CBR125. I wouldn't like to do a set of steps, especially if there's any chance of ice, tho slippy leaf crud can be bad.

My suggestion would be to rip up the steps and build a convex ramp. Or buy a van ramp from ebay.

I have a back yard which has a step of 200mm down to the back lane. Built a ramp to get the bike in but have to push the bike up the ramp rather than ride because of the thin doorway. If i didnt have the grab rail on the back it would be a bitch to get up the ramp.

bike just misses the step by a few mm, best check it out first (CBR 600FS-1)

A few people have had similar trouble round here and just used the side of the steps and made a concrete ramp, you'd lose about a quarter of the step width and have to have a good key in the steps. Make sure you get a good idea of the angle when you start though to avoid bellypan scrapping.

I would just ride down that standing up....

If it were my bike I'd prob blip the clutch at the top so the front wheel clears them all Wink

But that's me Very Happy

And anyone who knows me, knows I'd actually do it Laughing

Am I missing something or is it just taken for granted that the bike will magic it's way to the top of the steps every morning / night / full moon?
