 Posted: 10:04 - 15 Nov 2008 Post subject: Finally I fall |
 |
|
I've been waiting my turn to fall off my bike for a while now and finally last night I did. Due to lack of respect for the road I guess. Can't think of any other reason why I fell, maybe I got scared and didn't want to lean. I eneded up going straight over a verg. Got some air! Oh yeah! I landed on a barbed wire fence twisted up in it some how with my bike on top of me. I thought ahh this is alrite dad and my brother (who just passed his cbt) will be along soon. They went straight passed me and so did several cars. Being in a ditch no one could see me even though my lights where still on. Some how I managed to get my bike off of me and untwisted my self out of the wire. Got up and ran out on to the road and stopped the first car I saw. The man helped me move my bike to a better place and find my smased bits including my glasses. Then gave me a lift home. I didn't get his name or address but wish I did so I could get him somthing for helping me out. Mum dad and I then went to go get the bike but some one had noticed it and called the police thinking I would still be in the field. So Now I might get charged for dangerous driving and put on a course to slow me down. I went to the hostpiutal last night and everything is fine luckly I'm just sore. My bike aint to bad either. Need a new set of L plates, number plate, indicator, front faring and bubble. I cant seem to find them on ebay though so shopping about will have to be done unless any of you guys know a good site for parts
Well thanks for reading, ride safe, Karl |

Unfortunatly it can take an off for people to realise there limits, and take notice of what they are doing wrong.
You live and learn, glad to hear you are o.k.
When i first started riding , i rode aggresivly everywhere and always tried to get the pegs down everywhere,
my aggresive riding was sorted when i found my self in the side of a car whilst filtering and my excess lean angles and stuff were sorted when i had a low speed off on some diesel.
I now think before i ride too hard or try to bank over too much, and have avoided several potential offs(been accident free for four years). and think i am now a much better/safer rider thanks to the shock and reality check that the accidents gave. |

You should be careful with barbed wire, I know two blokes who had similar accidents and lost a ball or two. ____________________ Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter won't mind - Dr. Seuss |

you need to look where you want to go NOT where you dont want to go.
if you decide to venture up a bank and land on a fence it was the wrong decision.
if you did take the corner too fast you may have made it, if you didnt then you end up on your arse as you did anyway.
you live and learn..... 'target fixation' it is called, dont do it
as for spares for your bike it would help to know what it is? ____________________ ZX636C6F road. ZX636C1H track. ZX7R redundant. ZX0.5R minimoto as ornament.

now here somes the insults to my bike haha, Its an AJS cr3 125. Chinese copy of the cbr 125. It wasn't my bikes fault, honest. I'm glad I didnt loose my balls on the barbed wire. Thank fuck for leathers!
I saw nose cones in a magazine I have. They are for turning your bike in to a street fighter was kinda thinking of doing that but not 100% what I would do to its already bad hold of value and the looks of the bike, if anyone knows what an 08 cbr looks like street fightered please do tell thanks |
