please do .....

a reed valve is a valve that lets the fuel air mixture enter the crankcase

as the piston goes up crankcase volume increases and pressure decreases this pressure gradient cause fuel/air mixture to be drawn in from the carb into the crankcase rushing through the reed block and forcing the reeds open, when the pressure is equalised the reeeds snap shut again, the mixture cannot go back through because of the shape of the reed block

What i dont know is, why do the revs increase and the power increase when it hits 7k+ revs?

the extreme timing and size of the ports on that barrel would cause it to have a very narrow powerband , not too clued up on porting to explain it any more but its something i want to get into Cool

its the way the exhaust and other tuning works. generally the more tuning you do concentrating on a certain rev range then either side of that range will suffer. (that was a simple quick guide btw)

i bet he had to swop his rear sprocket with the front one to get that speed Laughing
