...So where is everyone off to?

I've just got back from an 'invigorating' (i.e. freezing) ride along the Northumberland coast.

Even better yet, the Duke behaved itself (it's not too keen on winter mornings Rolling Eyes ). Not a cough or splutter in sight.

Reminds me though...I really must sort out some decent winter gloves Doh!

It's terrible weather here in Cambridge, all soggy and damp, looks horrendous.

It was beautiful, then it clouded over and rained. I was going to brush the cobwebs off my bike and take it for a blap aswell. Sad

Today I've been to Japan and America (on Gran Turismo Laughing)

It's been sunny all day but both of my bikes are out of action and I couldn't be arsed fixing them.

Woke up and was greeted with sunshine, so planned on riding from East Dorset to Cornwall.

Hit some dirty mist-rain somewhere near Honiton that was making the roads all greasy, plus it looked worse in the distance. So I turned round and pegged it back east.

Took a detour on the way home and found an amazing new road, complete with a right hander that tightened up on me, causing an almighty nipsy contraction. Took a few miles before he eventually popped back into place.

But other than that, a good days riding.

nowhere today, but last sat was a blinder:
stoke to whitchurch
whitchurch to warrington
warrington to macclesfield
macclesfield to buxton (via a greasy cat and fiddle couple of twitchy moments there)
buxton to ashbourne
ashbourne to lichfield
lichfied to rugeley
rugeley to stafford
stafford to market drayton
market drayton to stoke and home!!

a total of 220 miles had to juice up twice and was fooked when igot home but enjoyed every turn of the wheel!!

A few of us from the North section met up near Chorley, it was a really bright sunny day up north and absolutely perfect biking weather, loads of bikes out as well.

About 60 miles of type B and unclassified roads - the long way round to a friend's house to help him put his bike back together.

Yesterday (Sunday) was a great morning to be out and about on bikes. Two mates and I got up earlyish and met at a nearby petrol station at 7.45am. Ended up riding around the south coast (including a bacon roll at Rye), then up towards Box Hill, Horsham etc.

Once we spotted the rain starting we headed home on the Motorway. Half an hour later we arrived home five hours and 150 odd miles after we'd left.

It was great because it was sunny and reasonably warm, meaning hoonage was possible once again. By the time we saw rain we were thinking about home anyway.

Satrurday I went to Camden by train and tube. never again! There was a bike bay right outside where I was going, and it cost me about a fiver more than it would have in petrol.

Sunday I road to Coalville near Leicster, and rode back this morning, in an odd sort of rain, the weather forecast said it was clear and wasn't raining, but water kinda just hanged there in the air. Confused
