Impressive Thumbs Up Was that off the throttle or by using the clutch?

HI
Throttle, i can get it up, which I think is the hard part, but i get scared and drop it when its really high, i can hold it if its lower but not for very long, because i'm not at the balance point, bit of a paradox isn't it.

This is just a pic to explain what I mean about sitting up. If you imagine rotating your top half of your body so that your arms are straight and you're not 'hunched' over the tank your head would actually be higher meaning you can see more over the screen - and it would also bring more of your weight over the back wheel making it easier to get to the balance point. I know it's kinda like instinct to bring your chest close to the tank when the bike comes up but once you get the hang of sitting back it makes everything a lot easier... Very Happy Thumbs Up

Here's an example, if you were to draw a line straight up from the middle of the rear wheel my center of body weight would be just slightly behind it, with the weight of the engine and front end acting on the other side of the line. This way you also have your weight - which you can shift about - as well as the throttle to keep the wheelie going.

That's quite an old photo, don't wheelie without leathers kids Wink

Korn, would you be so nice as to photoshop lukes picture to show where thre front wheel should be to be at the balance point!

This would then help fellow R6 riders such as Craig Luke and myself.

Best to find some videos of people at the balance point on an r6.

Note that I think at that point luke was /trying/ to bring the wheelie down.

https://www.vmax.com.br/fotos/modificadas/WheelieMax.jpg no excuses now then :p.

Pretty mucha ny clutched bike can wheelie... though if you go sticking a dt50 engine in a fatboy you may be making it a bit difficult for yourself.

It depends on how heavy you are, how you're sitting, how much petrol's in the tank, what you had for breakfast, etc Wink
As a guide, if you're going down the road on one wheel and the revs aren't climbing - you're there.

Wonder if i could do that on my DNA Laughing

When i had my rear pegs on i tried but didn't wanna budge.

Can't get the back up either. I can sit on the "tank" and hammer it even at low speed leaning right forward and the front just skids. Or stops dead and you need to manouver quick so you don't fall off hehe.

Can an NSR or RS125 get the nose up? Having a clutch and all.

I want a real bike to ride. One that fits into my CBT and daily 50 mile round commute.

Yup you can quite easily clutch up an NSR or RS.

Hell I even managed to clutch up my bike! (4-stroke 125). Can't keep it there though!

My CG125 came up easier than the NSR did.

It does take quite a bit of practice to get it high on a 2st 125 sports bike... and a /lot/ more to keep it there... you really need to practice on a bigger bike, then move down Smile.

Dup - On the DNA you cant do a moving wheelie, but the trick it (and i know i wheeled a DNA50) is to hold it back, put on the revs as the front lifts, lift your feet up and hold on, if you get it in the power, and don't get belt slip it WILL travel.

Note, that you don't let the front come right up when your feet are on the ground, just let it raise half a foot, and don't manage to flip the bike.

I accept no responsibility for what happens. But i know thats how i did it on my friends many times and it worked a treat. Very Happy

Hi
Shut it bitch, give me the TL and I'll wheelie the nuts off it. I cant do 2nd gear wheelies becuase its knackered, G says just like you yours Doh! . Though i think its easier to find 2nd hand R6 engines Razz.
