Hello,

Im planning to go riding through a particular area of the Ukraine. (Karma to the person who guesses where...) and was wondering how i would go about contacting the relevent authorities about riding through a certain restricted area with perhaps 1 other bike with me...

Thats answered most of my questions.... apart from 1 or 2...

1) Can i ride through the exclusion zone is accopanied by a guide i.e. take a guide on the motorcycle and ride through the streets?

2) Any restrictions such as size of motorcycle, number of bikes etc

I looked at doing this on my trip, admittedly not very hard.
In the end I just went on the tour, which was well worth the cash.

The tour is a fixed fee irrespective of how many people are on it, so if you find out how much that fee is (I think it was between $500 and $1000) then that's probably ball-park cost of how much it'll cost to organise a personal guide, and then you have to convince him to get on the motorbike with you!

Personally I'd just do the organised tour, a hell of a lot less hassle, the tour's a really cool guy and my only criticism is that a day wasn't long enough in such an amazing place!
