"Must have" christmas gift

Last year it was the Wii and it all but sold out well before Christmas (though I bought one on Amazon on 22nd December).

What is it this year?

And now, what about for kids?

The Toy Retailers Association have suggested this lot below, but I haven't heard the kids talking about any of them (except the Star Wars helmet, but I have a daughter not a son).

Some Wii games? Animal Crossing is coming out soon, it will keep them entertained for hours. Kept me entertained for hours on my Nintendo DS when I had it.

I was lucky to get a gift at £30 tops when I was young not hundreds! thats still dear for a childs present. They are cheaper yes but thats still alot to some people. Perhaps I am old fashion with pen and paper and in school no one had a mobile phone now they all have one. This child is really going to break me isnt it in sanity and bank lol

I fancy a ps2 back though as I dont like this xbox 360 its boring games.

Well, my 2 year old granddaughter seems to think so anyway. We've bought her a wagonload of ITNG stuff for Chrimble including that play and chase bed thing which Toys R Us seem to have stocked up to the ceiling with.

The Wii fit is the thing to grab if you see it.

HMV had 4 in stock a couple fo weeks back, I bagged em all with 10% student discount, flogged 3 on ebay, making me a profit of £180.

Anybody reckon the DS is gonna have a supply shortage this year? My GF wants one for xmas, but I wanna wait until I have completed my savings for xmas first.

I've already had mine early. £100 of my BT021's paid by rents... best present ever considering I was running on a 8k plus macadam (teflon nonstick technology) and a 5k bt020 front through heavy traffic in god knows what weather.

If I'm lucky I'll get season 4 of house though. That should keep me amused, and tis only £25 at the mo
