My new bike.

I'm going to pick up my bike today at 4:00 from Bill Bunn Motorcycles in Ealing. It is a Honda H100, the Honda version of the Rxs100 if i am not mistaken. 1993. Blue. And It's mine! Very Happy

Has anyone brought a new or second hand bike from Bill Bunn before? They seemed really helpful, I was just wondering if anyone has had any prior experience with the shop. Cheers people. Take care.

And only Â£595! It's in really good condition aswell, could'nt believe my luck. He even said he would do me a warranty but he said I wouldnt really use it seeing as it's a Honda!

A Honda H100S was the first bike I had. Official top speed was 58mph, and that is about it really. It would manage to indicate 60mph, but the speedo is likely to over read. Brakes were OK. Handling was OK. Petrol consumption was brilliant (around 100mpg). 6V electrics were a bad joke at night (come to a corner and brake, so the front suspension dived and the headlight pointed 2' in front of the bike, plus the extra load on the electrical system from the brake light made the headlight even more dim).

Peak power was at something like 6500rpm, and the red line was at 8500rpm. You went past peak power at about 50mph as they are very low geared (and I could not find any suitable spockets to gear it up).

Overall a nice little bike. There was a really tatty one for sale at the Stafford classic bike show this weekend and I was tempted to buy it for nostalgia.

Oh, and if the registration is WIJ243 then it is my old bike!

Andrew got his Firestorm from Bill Bunn, i don't think he had too much hassle with them although i remember him
saying they were a bit dodgy.

Andrew, out of interest (not to worry Cliff or anything), but what did Bill Bunn do to you/your bike (or not do) that will stop you returning there?

Well it's there customer service as well as the fact a couple of their mechanics cost me Â£250 odd. I'm not very chuffed with them to be honest. I'd rather walk on hot coals than deal with them again. Other people might have a different opinion but on the occasion they dealt with me they seemed more interested in making a bit of money instead of giving genuine advice. Thumbs Down

My mate from school had an H100, and he said it was the best inexpensive learner bike, and loads of fun. He could wheelie the living daylights out of the thing, where as a lad with an all or nothing TZR125 could just manage lots of frantic revving and clutch slip for a little hop of the front wheel, and that was it! Problem with an aircooled 2stroke is that on hot days ridden for miles flat out they can suffer from power fade when the motor gets quite hot, especially when its working hard up hills etc.
