Inspired by Fawbish!

For me highlights have included...

Fireworks party, a bit of misadventure with some tape and rockets led to 4 rockets flying straight into a neighbours greenhouse, we didn't realise this had happened until I went upstairs and looking out the window to see a bright yellow greenhouse with smoke pouring out of it. Mike and Keith bang on the neighbours door... only to find out it was the other neighbours but they run through and put it out with the 'just in case' fire extinguishers. God knows how much money was spent on fireworks between the group but there was a huge pile and I just remembered having to mop the garage wall because the fire was a bit close to it making the walls smoke. Laughing

Trackdays, not so much the track time (although fun) but also the tom foolery from getting a bit stoned and deciding to go for a nap only to have korn and some others let my tent down on me. Then me and Mike deciding to go let dafrostyones tent down on him, he didn't take it in good fun and went mental, storming down and kicking mikes volvo then hiding for the whole day after. Me, Mike, Wave and Maurice getting horribly sunburnt at cadwell, I'll never forget waking up and feeling my whole face crack. Dragging people around the field using Bendys car, a tyre and some rope, then stopping just in time as security turned up and drove around the field we had just been on. Racing around Cadwell, on pushbikes. Coming round a corner to see M1ke getting up off the floor as his RR lay on its side.

The many, many times that Keith would see your bike then demand you go back to his for some maintenance despite it being nearly midnight, the guy is awesome.

The many meets at the wheel, bassets pole, braddy arms and the stormy.

The last 'big' midlanders rideout to wales where Marsbar stacked it, then got caught speeding, then 3 people get pulled over, rest of us ride past acting normal but Bella rides past last waving to them. We carry on and find M1ke peeking over a wall because he didn't pull over, few minutes later the unmarked car drives past and slows down to wave to us. Laughing That same rideout I was trying to scrub in some avon tyres and after a couple of slides my pace stayed slow, cue mocking of chicken strips. One of the slides was quite big and sent me onto the wrong side of the road on the brakes, the guy behind me passed as I'm doing this and somehow never noticed me. Shocked

After that hectic rideout we decided against riding in big groups and thus a small group of trusted riders went out, this is where I messed up big time on the VFR, went into a corner way too hot, ran out of ground clearance and so with my knee and the pegs scraping somehow managed to mount a kerb, run round the edge of the corner on the grass with bushes twatting my shoulder and then get the bike back onto the road. Pulled over to remove leaves from my fairings whilst pissing myself laughing as Bella came around the corner panicking that I might be injured in some way.

On the way to the wheel M1ke has Scouse pillion and starts roundabout surfing, as he comes round for about the 4th lap a police car comes onto the roundabout. We follow it for a while then it turns off, further down the road a biker waves at me to slow down so I do. I come down a straight and I can see Mike ahead, as he comes onto the roundabout a car pulls in front of him and a police car ends up behind him. few hundred yards further the car infront suddenly lights up demanding he pull over, there's a police car behind him and a police bike pops out of a turning by where they've pulled him over. It wasn't long after that when the wheel got shut down. Crying or Very sad

Riding to Cadwell on the CBR4 with Bella also on a CBR4, halfway there our exhausts are making the exact same noise and creating a weird bouncing sound. Both of us have always ridden for ourselves irrespective of what the ride infront or behind is doing but for this ride we ended up trying to synchronise gear changes and revs.

Stoke toy/egg runs.

I might add more later.

Only time I met any BCF bods, a wee drinking session* with Shaun, Suzuki, Annabella, Willow, Jon B, brief appearance by Laura.

Then Dudley Zoo the next day.

* as in "a small, intimate gathering". We weren't drinking wee.

The hectic night with Me, Hetzer, Craigie B and Rich was hilarious. Got called Gypsies, freaked out some random kids having a /party/ under a slide, skinned up absolutely constantly. Oh and Hetzer's thoughts when he woke up slightly spangled still with 'Kung Pow' on.

First time Dan (Discord) and Rob (KLR600) took me out for a ride at uni. Damn near killed me the mad fools, round mental welsh roads in the rain. Then Rob getting forced by a mental housemate to give her guitar lessons.

Oh and when Rob and I met each other at Ogwen lake (half way) at 5am and had a nice talk about life the universe... and insomnia.

Any of the post ride cups of tea with Jono (Acer), especially after he slaughtered Bambi Laughing

And for sheer kindness, Drew (Vincent) offering to fit my new C + S with me on a cold spring morning at his house. I'm still very grateful for that mate Thumbs Up

Yeah and I went and mucked up the whole shebang half way through. Laughing

I remember that Cadwell weekend so very well.

That was the weekend where:

Arrow Shaun lit a barbecue underneath my TT600 and I melted my trainers trying to kick it out of the way

Arrow M1ke taped up the windows on his boxy volvo with individual strips of gaffer tape. And then Shaun et al taped him into his sleeping bag (as I recall).

Arrow Jay locked his car keys into the boot of his dad's MG and his dad had to drive 40 miles to bring a spare set

Arrow Wave got his knee down on a push bike

Arrow Wave was rolled down the Mountain in a load of old bike tyres

Arrow Tyre surfing

There was also the numerous other things like Streetfighter Sunday etc, but most of the fun stuff seems to have happened at Cadwell!

You just reminded me, he went bed early so we all started leaving empties on the roof of his volvo, by morning it was covered in empty cans and bottles. Laughing

Wave unicycling straight into the toilets.

I also remember some attempt at unicycling down the mountain... Laughing

That was also the Freeloader weekend where Bendy and myself bought takeaway and everyone chipped in except Maurice (and a few others) who then proceeded to eat more than their share!

Hi

So, do we need a few more meets like this. Drag out some to do track days.

All the best

Keith

Yeah, this is why we need to get G racing again, and then we all need to book a trackday immediately preceding or following a Bemsee race weekend. Or both.

Met a few people on a ride out organised for JodieWodie, met some extremely nice folks on that, including a few that despite posting here I just don't think of as "BCF" for some reason Thinking

Met Keith, Laura and 'Bella at the Bradford arms one evening aaaages ago. Not strictly a BCF get together but hey ho. In fact, after some head scratching the only other meetup I've done so far was the Stoke dyno run, spent most of the day chatting to Keith or Nath and laughing at the engineer after the first run on the rolling road for the bandit. The look of deep suspicion as he turned around and asked Keith in a very sceptical tone, "this ain't standard is it?" Laughing

Meeting Paivi in London last time I was down, and buying the most expensive coffee ever. A coffee and a bottle of coke came to over £60 in total, more if you include both of us...

Other than that, meeting 'Bella and her friend at the random pub with lots of police presence and melting bikers, the name evades me. Ahh, Swancote!

That's about it for me so far, although there are plans to hit Wales soon (not with a multi megaton nuclear device, much as I may wish otherwise).

Doing an oil change on Shaun's RS125 and cocking it up with the result a rather large oil stain on the parents drive.

Riding the 80 miles to Gav's BBQ on my NSR with Mike, and ending up on the M5.

Gav's 2nd BBQ and being woken up at 4am by a Chinchilla walking over me then staring at me across the living room floor.

Asking for the weekend off work for the RnB on the morning that it started - and getting it.

Turning up to the RnB with Mike in his Volvo, then staying up till 5am with Zak talking to some random bloke from the next tent down.

Trackday at Cadwell park with Dusty riding while he could still barely walk, even with crutches.

Many, many late night working on bikes in Keith's garage.

Got loads...

Travelling upto Cadwell the first time on the back of Lauras bike, not knowing anybody and sleeping in cars, proper freeloader style.

Gavs BBQ, alot of people getting rat arsed etc

Mike and Shauns Firework party, i remember blowing the doors off the fridge freezer by jamming big rockets in there.
Me and dom_ getting pissed and just lighting fireworks and throwing them.

Touring with mike at 17 round scotland on a beaten cbr400, drinking too much that night and being sick on the hostle floor.

Touring with mike and scott (yoko) in Europe and ending up in some gay club in Nice dancing on tables, then falling asleep in some ally ways to be greeted by what could only be described as French gangsters.

Few memorable nights out with the SE lot in Brighton and especially one in Eastbourne where i dont really remember much, apart from dirty dancing with Hetzers wife Confused .

Amsterdam of Course, mark tate total legend.....
