What do you guys think of this? To me it looks similar to the RSV4. I wonder how much it will cost.

The mirrors are in a weird position but apart from that it looks good.

They've ruined it though by fitting it with a 4 stroke engine.

I think the 4 stroke makes it a good option for someone who wants the good looks with reliability but if its for the same price as the old one it will be in direct competition with the Yam R125, it would be good to see how they compare.

To be honest I preferred the old model, they look better & are 2 stroke. Maybe it will grow on me though, wouldn't mind a go at thrashing one silly for a while to see if they are any fun to ride.

I don't like the look of the front end, it looks like it's already braking really hard without being moving.

Just because it's a 4 stroke, it doesn't automatically make it more reliable.

It does automatically make it slower though.

Personally I don't like it and, if I were 17 and could afford to buy one outright, I'd rather spend a couple of hundred quid on an old CG125 and put the remaining cash towards lessons, test and a bigger bike.

Still, they are pandering to a generation who has to have the latest, best looking product so, in that sense, they've got it bang on.

That is correct, that's why it's such a bloody shame the 2 strokes are slowly being killed off.

How long will it be until the Aprilia RS125 becomes a 4 stroke Crying or Very sad

It's bound to in the end, enviro-Nazis will make sure of that. Euro emmissions 4 or 5 or whatever nth iteration says you're exhaling too much CO2, so go kill yourself just so long as its not on a fast bike as thats dangerous.

Didn't Derbi used to use Yamaha (TZR) engines in the GPR?
Are they using Yammy 4T engines too? That may answer a question to reliability. As to the Spanish build quality of the rest of the bike.... Question

The draw of the 2T GPR appeared to be the simplicity of derestriction, adding a fuse sounded a great idea, though I doubt the Association of Chief Police Officers would have thought so.

If they'd killed the performance, and there's no possibility of derestricting it loses all its appeal AFAICS.

That will truly be the end of an era Sad . As for Moog and this bike, let's be honest, considering what you ride it's really not intended to be marketed to a rider like you. Laughing

The enviroment thing is a load of shit. They are slowing killing of an engine type which is perfect for small motorcycles.

Do the EU laws apply to things like chain saws and lawn mowers? I can't imagine a 4 stroke chain caw being that good.

I ride what I can afford to run. I could quite easily go out and buy an R1 but I'd rather spend my money on my kids tbh...hence why I ride a 250.

And it'd be pointless marketing a 125 for a rider like me as I've completely outgrown them and wouldn't see the point in spending that much on a bike that I'd have for one year maximum.

I didn't mean it offensively mate, you just don't seem all that interested in 'sporty-type' bikes.

Is there any information as to whether the 50cc version will be staying 2-stroke? a 4-stroke 50 on the road would be depressingly slow.

Derbi GPR's being made into 4 strokes? that sucks, I own a 4 stroke bike but I also love 2 stroke 125's and their being killed off which is shit.

No offence taken and you are correct...I'm not overly interested in sports bikes...Japanese plastic doesn't float my boat I'm afraid.

Just turn the oil pump up on your RX-S so it uses a litre of oil to 100 miles and you're sorted Mr. Green

Argh pissing 4 stroke.
They only make them 4 strokes too get around emission laws.

I would never buy anything thats a 125 or under that has a 4 stroke engine. There just not exciting.

But it looks nice.
