I've had several and would buy another without a second thought, although I'm not a big fan of sportsters.
I currently have 4 running bikes in my garage, five if you count the zenith moped, so I'm lucky enough to be able to fit the bike to the way I feel.
You'll always get a baised opinion on BCF, the majority of users own either step throughs or sports bikes, at the moment I wonder if some of the regular poster even own a bike. If I was to ask a similar question about GSXR's on Bikerlifestyle I'd be setting myself up for a load of abuse. ____________________ https://www.metacafe.com/watch/1972097/how_to_behave_on_a_forum/ |

I used to think never, but then they made the XR1200 and the VRSCDX Night Rod Special.
Having seen both in the flesh I'm inclined to be seen less than dead on either one of them.
The only thing that holds me back is the small tank (13L) on the XR1200 and the price (£13,000) of the Night Rod Special. ____________________ My claim to fame: Austin Vince nicked my pen... |

I would never own a Harley.
Too much chrome, too much baggage with the image.
You're paying for the name/image.
However, at the NEC a few years back I did see the Harley Dark (or whatever it's called, I confuse the name with the Ducati Dark version). One part of me said, "ok not bad". Then the sensible side shouted "...but it's a Harley". ____________________ ...and the whirlwind is in the thorn trees, it's hard for thee to kick against the pricks...

The only one i would like to buy is the Nightster
https://www.totalmotorcycle.com/photos/2007models/2007-Harley-Davidson-XL1200N-Nightsterb.jpg
I dont like chrome and shiny bits, so even if i got a Nightster i would make a few mods.
I did test ride a couple of Harleys, i was very sceptical beforehand, but after riding them i suppose i can see why some people like them. Thudding along at 70 mph round big sweeping bends was kinda fun, and they were quite good fun around town too.
Crap brakes though. |

Yes, I'd have one. Sat on a 1200 Sportster Custom jobbie at the NEC a few years back, and it "fitted" just right. Can't justify the cost though, prices are way too stupid. ____________________ Chances are quite high you are not in my Monkeysphere, and I don't care about you. Don't take it personally.

My old housemate's mum was a bit of a MILF... what was even surprising was the fact that she admitted to owning 2 Harleys for a good few years which completely surprised me!
Needless to say, the nightrod special tickles my fancy, or even a nightster.
Copper that did the bikesafe with me followed me on a 1200 Roadster and showed a cocky fireblade rider a thing or two about cornering! ____________________ The Tot 2019 Z1000SX - 2007 R1
