Heyyy, I go to work on my CBR 125 and every time I start the bike it starts 1st time and then run for like 10 sec and the rev start to get low and the engine cuts out.

I dnt rev the engines when its cold.

I find it difficult to get the bike warm in the morning as the engine just cuts out.

When I use the choke to hold the rev up it lasts for 25sec and then slowing the rev drop and the engine cuts out.

When the engine is warm it idle at 1700rpm, but when it cold it will idle at 1200rpm untill it warms up.

Is this normally on carb engine?

i asume you know what a carb is?

if so, there should be 2 screws on the bottem of it around a black bowl shaped bit.

take them both off, (MAKE SURE YOUR PETROL SWITCH IS OFF!!) and look in the middle for a big round gold screw, there should be a number on it, get that number , add 5 onto the number and go to your local bike shop and ask for a 'eg.size 100' jet to fit a (for eg. 16 delloto carb)

Although thats the simplest way i can explain, just pm me if you still dont understand.

Hope this helps.

Bigger main jet won't do a damn thing for the idle.... but feel free to waste his time & cash for him. Rolling Eyes

correct.

you see hutchy, when at idle, the bike uses the idle jet to get its fuel from. the main jet opens up when the throttle is turned, allowing alot more fuel and air into the combustion chamber, hence the revs increase.
