Well, I probably fit into that category.

IIRC, there's some model history on the Z Power site https://www.z-power.co.uk/merchantmanager/ , the 650 isn't very powerful by modern standards.

The one you linked to looks OK for a general hack but for a classic collectable I would prefer one that hasn't been fucked around with.

Minor points, that seat and fairing look a bit dodgy...

Also be prepared for a shock with the handling.

Z650s have two positions, bolt upright and pegs down. You corner by alternating between the two.

It's like a Z1 but smaller and not as gorgeous.

Oh, and there's one in the bike breakers in Plymouth.

That's about all I know about them really, my "thing" is the 750 twins. Nice looking bikes though!

Oh, and I'm not old either. Not sure why I'm replying to be honest.

Hell, I'd buy it. I'd get rid of that daft looking seat tho. Dave Marsden will have the proper one.

Tool kit needs replating (cad#1)

Fitting 26mm carbs was a fairly common mod back in the day, either from a GS or a bigger Z ('76 Z900's came with 26's). I've 2 or 3 5gal buckets full of Z900/1000/650/750 carbs..
