yes you do.

I think the Mito uses the brake light, under the bottom of the brake light is a clear part where the light shines down from the back light bulbs.

also if your bike hasnt got a light for the number plate (like mine) you cna fit a small reflector onto the plate inself and that counts as the light for it

that was one of the points mine failed on and the grease monkey said that the way to do it with that type is to put one on

you need a red reflector in order to pass an MOT

https://www.ukmot.com/1-4.asp

the reflector will not replace a number plate lamp as this is also needed to pass an MOT.

Quote:
MOT check for Lights

All lights will be checked for operation, condition, securely fastened to the vehicle and that they are of the correct colour according to the light. The main headlamps aim will be checked to make sure they are useable at the angle they have been set.

The lights checked are side lights and headlamps, Rear fog lamps, rear reflectors, number plate lamps, stop lights, indicators and hazard lights.

The best way to check all of these is to get assistance or ask in your local car accesories center.

My GSXR had a tiny white LED as a numberplate light. Passed MOT no problem.
