Hi my friend recieved his new r6, but the dumb idiot took it up the road near his house ( no license yet or insurance ). the police started to follow him and he took off later putting the bike into a bush where the police caught up, the police put him in the back of the car and wrote down what happened in red pen, showed him a video but accidently deleted it infront of him ?, they then sent him on his way and told him to ride his bike home without giving him a producer or anything of the like, does it sound like hes got off with a word of warning with luck on his side or what ? seems a bit weird to me for them not to take his bike until he provides proof of insurance ? no safty nazis please saying that he shouldnt be on the road as he isnt going to be reading this and ive already told him its his own fault, any help would be very nice.

best wishes and ride safe.

Hi

Sounds like he might have got away with it. But I don't expect the police to be that incompetant for an easy nicking.

All the best

Sounds a bit far fetched to me, I'd suspect the mate of telling fibs personally Neutral

I was thinking that too, I didn't think that they could delete recordings from the car.

Sounds like your mate stacked the bike and couldn't find an adequate reason why other than him being a total and utter arsehead.

So he made up a cock and bull story about the police chasing him and stuff to give a plausible reason for crashing.

Arsehead.

I think that the police use tape because of legal precedent, and I doubt they have converted to file based recording.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

i mentioned the red ped because he said one said to the other red pen wont go through, and trust me the bollocking he was getting off his dad it wasnt a lie, and since now he aint allowed the bike till next year dont think he was lien, so of course i had to take it for a spin Twisted Evil and if he had of just crashed he would have admitted it, he said when he tryed to stop for his gravel track, he lost balance when the bike hit a bump ( lives down a mile of gravel track ) said he lost balance and dumped the clutch allowing the bike to hurtle off without him on it, you can see the minor scrapes above the yamaha

The story smells an awful lot like bullsh*t to me.

Nowadays if you get caught driving/riding a vehicle without either a driving licence or insurance then the police will seize that vehicle on the spot under Section 165A of the Road Traffic Act.

is you mates name billy liar?
the bits of this story that look true are.
Hi my friend received his new r6, but the dumb idiot took it up the road near his house ( no license yet or insurance ).
he said when he tryed to stop for his gravel track, he lost balance when the bike hit a bump ( lives down a mile of gravel track ) said he lost balance and dumped the clutch allowing the bike to hurtle off without him on it, you can see the minor scrapes above the yamaha.
the bollocking he was getting off his dad it wasnt a lie,

the rest of it just reads like lies.
as has already been said.
the police take uninsured bikes cars of the road regardless of any other offences.

Police find it hard to carry any type of pen, blue or black so a red pen is a lie.

The bike hurtled off wothout him and only caused that minor scrape, I want one of them if they stand up that well to crashing.

If it carried enough speed it would carry on upright and if it just went into a bush it could cushion its 'crash' quite a lot.

I once had an off on my XT125, happened to go sideways on into a wall but luckily (for the bike) my leg was in the way so the wall didn't cause any damage. It fell onto a crash verge and got away with just a minor scrap which sort of polished out and a cracked front mudguard (where it coveres the stanchions).

Although his story does sound a lot like bull poop

Its a bit ironic really as i only dislike honda's because of their reliability and ability to travel round the world 30 times on a single oil change Confused (exagerrated i no) i would half mind a Blade though Mr. Green

Oh my god.

Must have been some bush to be able to take the weight of a 150kg bike ghostriding down a bumpy farm track and only managing to scrape that tiny bit of fairing. Lucky guy.

Theres only two things I think are true about the whole story

1. You believe him
2. He's lying

That bike hasn't been crashed at any speed. Laughing

Isn't it a picture of the bike before he threw it into a bush whilst being chased by the police?
