We use the L85A1 yes. But I suspect (this being the UK) that is an airsoft replica.

(SA80 is the project name for the L85A1 and the LSW. It is not correct to call the rifle the SA80... Smile )

pass, its been fair few years since i was in the army,
sa80 is what we were told you kids were using.
i never used one,
nz army uses the styer, which i really rate Very Happy so light, and could take a beating with out losing any accuracy, the only crap thing about them was the 2x sight,
still a million times better than the crappy us m16 thats a bag of nuts Very Happy

The A2 is pretty good now, still a bastard to clean but as long as you keep it clean it will keep firing. I quite liked the M16 when I used that, hardly had to clean the thing and it just kept on working, only thing is it's fairly long. One draw back with the SA80 is the weight, the bullpup design is not light but means you get to have a long barrel in a short weapon. The SUSAT sight is pretty good too though they are going to be replaced with the american ACOG soon.
