Can anyone suggest somewhere that sells a reasonably cheap (under £50) car CD player?

Doesn't have to be anything special.

Forget CD and get one with a USB port then you can put all your music on a flash stick and never have to change a CD again.

Might have a nice Panasonic one going cheap.. it's in good condition, was taken out of my mums car when the car was scrapped. Was professionally fitted not tooo long before the car got written off If you're interested I can get pics and model info and a price.. pretty sure my mum doesn't want too much for it!

I've ended up buying the one from Argos for £50, got a £5 gift voucher back that will do for one of our friends' kids' christmas presents (me? Tight bastard? Never!) so I'm happy

That's a Panasonic and it does MP3CDs too.

Not so happy about the adapter cable costing £20 though. Might have a look round and see if I can get it cheaper. Or maybe cut the end off the one coming from the old stereo and wire it up to the new one.
