Have a look at this guys, anyone think he's taken it abit too far?
R1 with 46 livery, Dainese Leathers, Rossi Face Helmet, Dainese Gloves and probably the boots too.
https://www.theyellowcommunity.com/1-english-room/2-valentino-rossi/3197-vales-helmets-33.html#post293846

I have the Rossi lid but thats as far as i'll go.
I said to him to do a trackday with all that gear on.
Would be interesting to see everyones reactions, i don't imagine folk would think it was Rossi but more like a to$$er and he would be the target man for the day Laughing

would anyone on here even consider riding around with all that gear on?

No Laughing

Is funny when you come across super-ero bikers like that.

Was out riding with a friend when foggy was winning everything and saw two pricks both on ducati 916,s with matching foggy everything.

Nearly crashed crying with laughter.

We went past and then when we saw them at a filling station later I asked one of them for an autograph and who was the real foggy.
Mate dropped his bike from laughing and choked on his ginsters.

Shouldnt mock and all that.

What I want to know is, are they true Rossi fans?

I'd say a good percentage of red blooded 'bikers' are the sort to be homophobic. What happens to their Rossi fandom if Rossi comes out as being gay? Would the merchandise stop selling overnight?

I think he's a talented rider, but I'd never wear replica leathers or anything... but then I suppose I've never understood football supporters either... Confused

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Makes no odds to me personally.

I do have a replica lid, couldn't do the leathers though.

The exhaust on that R1 is aweful IMO as well.

So what would happen if you saw biaggi & rossi wannabes on a track day and they were holding hands? Laughing

Awww, be nice guys, his birthday cards looked like he has just celebrated his 6th birthday, so I guess he'll grow out of it!! Wink

If it makes him happy and feel good then why not, it is his hard earned cash after all. Personally, I like to be unobtrusive, but each to their own.

There is a guy near me who has the full rossi setup, r6 in fiat yamaha scheme, lid and leathers. I call him fat rossi, never see him out other than on a sunny sunday. Few times when i used to have the nc30 i'd be sat behind him at the lights, he'd always cane it and wheelie away, then look in his mirrors and i'd be right behind him still.

I'd happily have the lid as it's a brilliant design. The whole matching leathers and bike thing is a bit too much though. I suppose I should get a Nakano RX7 GP now eh, race rep sofa anyone? Smile

Thing is though that you generally don't see football fans walking up the Kings Road in a Chelski football shirt, shorts, socks, shin pads and football boots though do you? You only tend to see them in the shirt. Bit like Harley owners really...you can spot them a mile off with all the "Harley TM" stuff they wear.

Cool would be just wearing the helmet...or plastering '46' stickers on your fairing...whereas what that person has done is somewhat excessive.

I like to show a little national support by wearing my Shoei RF1000 Pascal Picotte replica. Here's a link if you care:

No but you dont need Shorts boots and shin pads to walk down a road,

But its advised that you wear leathers and boots, you have to wear a helmet and you have to actually have a motorcycle to ride one Smile

If shin pads were cumpolsary they would be chelsea one

I think its pretty sad tbh but hey, whatever makes people happy i say. Personally dont like anything replica stylee on a bike or car, think its a bit tacky, but thats mainly cos the majority who do it go wayyyy ott. If done subtly i 'get it' but in ya face like this guy just makes me shake my head.
