Everyone has a subject they know more than average about, for some it's martial arts, or model trains, or as with most of us, motorbikes.

And there will always be those few who know nothing on the subject but still argue with anything you say on it for some reason unknown to me.

I just went over to the next village to see if I could help my mate to get his RS50 run a bit smoother (he'd left the choke out for 30 odd miles and gunked up the plug).

We started it up after cleaning the plug and this guys mate said "it still sounds shit" to which we both chuckled and told him it was a 50cc.

Then he said:

wait for it...

"No, there's still something wrong with it, it sounds like it's only firing on one cylinder Shocked "

Maybe this is another one of those things that only I found amusing, maybe not, we shall see...

People like that really need to be put in their place so they don't carry on doing it. So make sure you go on about it until he finally cracks and never says a word again.

The new guy spam (not his real name, but he is full of shite) went down to the workshop at work to ask how many spark plugs were in a strimmer.

Naturally, I told him the truth. 2 in a 2T, and 4 in a 4T. Wink

.... bag of sparks for the grinder........ Smile

In the days that my family ran a garage if any of the cars had a flat tyre, we used to send a YTS lad down to put the wheel on the other way up so it'd look better for the customers....... still makes me chuckle 15 years on! Laughing

Bucket of steam? A Long Stand? A facepunch?

Anyway, back on topic. These are the kind of things that either make you cringe or laugh. The worst thing to do is to get drawn into is an argument with those idiots.

We were at my mates having a few bottles in the sun when a really loud car turned up outside. This guy called mikey (total idiot) had went and bought himself a skyline and brought it round to show another mate who lived over the road. My mate Jon (whos always had fast cars) is kind of this guys idol so he was soon over banging on about a dump valve and the noise it makes before turning to Jon and saying 'Why did you get rid of the MR2' followed by 'It had NOS didnt it?'

Well anyway it didnt so its a fair mistake, except Jon and Mikey spent the next ten minutes arguing over wether the car had NOS or not. The point being the guy simply wouldnt accept that the car Jon used to own never had NOS, these people are ludicrous and will argue for the fun of anything. The scary ones are the ones not doing it for fun and genuinely believe they are right!

Good point, but unfortunately, it's those people who end up messing stuff up for other people due to their stupidity. Everything that goes wrong in the world is because of stupid people!

Anyway, just popping out for a bottle of dry water.

I know someone who truly believed ABS was an engine feature that made the car go faster... And wouldn't believe otherwise - even when pointed to a Wikipedia page...

Some people are just a little dense, but dense things can be amusing so meh - they are like little entertaining monkeys Laughing
