NEC who's going?

Well as title suggests who's going?

I'm off tomorrow, with the missus and Pernig and his mate.

Also what's on? Just burnt the NEC part of MCN to light the fire.

Cheers

I want to go. But its far (london). Friend of mine hasn't really got a free time to go along with me. Might be more inclined if there was travel discounts for those who buy tickets. or if people here come back and tell us that they're getting bargains on gear.
Can't believe its only 1 week long though.

Well i'm coming from Grimsby, and it's 30miles less for you than me, so c'mon!!! should be a good day out. It's pretty central so practically anyone could get there, where having a 125 with us of the 150mile trip should be a laugh lol.

Cheers

Four of us heading down from Cumbria on Thursday, 3 bikers and a non-biker wanting to get into it - the same as I was the first time I went!

Looking forward to it, just hope the live show has a little less 'gay' than last years!! Laughing

Went on preview day. Good day out and whilst there were no bargains for what I wanted I did see some goodies like Sidi Black Rains at £99.

I went today. Picked up lots of free-ish stuff, aswell as a new black double bubble screen, some heated grips, a Kriega backpack and a Kawasaki fleece. Got some little things like a bottle of Scottoiler FS 365, a coily thing to remind me of a disc lock I haven't bought yet and probably some other stuff I can't remember.

Went and got a goodie bag from the MCN stand and you get a copy of MCN, a copy of Rossi's book, some earplugs, sticker, 3 months free subscription to either Bike, PB, Classic Bikes or one other, can't remember which.

The bikes were cool, didn't get to see Charlie Boorman, he was supposed to be there but didn't catch him. Aprilia weren't there but they don't seem to turn up very frequently. Most of the main dealers were there, the big 4 Japs were there with their latest models although not a massive range of bikes to look at but still enough to make a decent day out of it.

IMO, I enjoyed it. I only live down the road so try and go every year unless I'm in another country but yeah I didn't think it was too bad this year.

I'm going for the first time Friday 5th. Me and my brother both on our bikes. Just want to ask if people carry their gear around or did I read something about a bus storage space? I'm just a bit protective of my stuff and want to check whats safe/secure.

I took a chain and put it through one arm of my jacket and one leg of my trousers then through the visor opening and round the back wheel. My bro used the storage which was about £3 for a bag and a quid or so for a lid (cant remember) all were perfectly safe, security pretty good round the bikes.
